A young and decent girl is posing in make-up of quite a whore (you know I generally avoid such words, but don't you think that yourself?). A surprising contrast! Why this happened , you may wonder.
It was
Esmeralda herself who directed the shooting, at least some sets, on that day. This particular one she wanted to be a retro set - art deco style. She put on a dress and a long necklace like our great-grandmothers used to wear in the beginning of the last century, and tried to do heavy make-up that was popular those days. Our make-up artist Tessa had other things to do that afternoon, so the model had to go without professional make-up, and she herself is young and inexperienced (to me, it's a huge plus). But as a result we're watching vulgar make-up on a pretty face as a result.
Most parents in this country, though they don't mind their young daugthers use make-up at all, warn them against putting on too much. Men will understand you wrong, they will see a whore instead of a heartbreaker - that's what they say, and they're right! But I hope you are wise enough to see what Esmeralda really is like: no femme fatale, no hooker - a naive and curious young creature trying hard to look most sexy for the man, as far as she can understand what it takes to be sexy.
